ChartStudio helps you turn raw numbers into polished, on-brand charts. The site is currently pre-launch — you can join the waitlist — and this policy explains what we do with the small amount of data that involves. ChartStudio is run by an individual, not a registered company. It covers the site at chartstudio.app.
What we collect
- The email address you enter to join the waitlist, and the time you joined — so we can keep your place in line.
- Standard hosting logs (IP address, browser, referring page) that our host records automatically when any page loads.
- Aggregate, cookieless analytics — non-identifying signals such as page views and whether the waitlist form was used — via PostHog, so we can see how the site is doing.
We don’t use advertising cookies, and our analytics run without cookies.
Why we collect it
- To keep your spot on the waitlist and email you when ChartStudio opens.
- To keep the site running and secure.
We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
Where it’s stored
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, your waitlist email is stored in our database on Railway, and anonymous analytics events are processed by PostHog. No other parties are involved yet.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. To have it removed, email support@chartstudio.app or use the unsubscribe link in any message we send.
Children
ChartStudio isn’t directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We’ll update this policy as ChartStudio grows — including when the app launches and starts handling the charts and data you create. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above when we do.
